VIC
Introducing the Solar for Apartments Program – your gateway to greener living and lower energy bills! Backed by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments and administered by Solar Victoria, this innovative initiative offers grants of up to $2,800 per apartment, empowering Victorian apartment buildings to embrace solar power. With savings of up to $500 annually, now's the time to elevate your apartment complex to sustainable heights.
Don't miss out – kickstart your application today and join the solar revolution!
Who qualifies? Grants are available for Victorian Owners Corporations (OCs) managing up to 50 occupiable lots or apartments. While OCs must sign a funding agreement, applications can also be initiated by apartment residents, strata managers, or OCs.
To be eligible, your building must:
  • Stand no taller than 8 storeys
  • Be a completed development
  • Fall under Class 2 domestic building classification in the National Construction Code
  • Have a median capital improved apartment value below $950,000
  • Not have had a solar (PV) system installed in the past ten years
  • Be situated in Victoria
  • Not be a retirement village, commercial building, or owned by specific entities
  • Not be connected to an embedded network for electricity supply.
NSW
Currently there is no rebate available to NSW apartment owners or residents.
QLD
Currently there is no rebate available to QLD apartment owners or residents.
SA
Currently there is no rebate available to SA apartment owners or residents.
WA
Currently there is no rebate available to WA apartment owners or residents.
TAS
Currently there is no rebate available to TAS apartment owners or residents.
ACT
The Solar for Apartments Program provides owners corporations up to $100,000 in grant funds and a zero-interest loan, to install rooftop solar at each eligible apartment complex in the ACT.
Owners corporations need to apply to the Solar for Apartments program, to get funding. 50% of the funds are in the form of a grant and 50% is funded by a zero-interest loan that the owners corporation will need to pay back.
